The federal board of intermediate and secondary education (FBISE)
Islamabad established under the FBISE Act 1975 is an independent body of
Ministry of Education. It is empowered for conducting and organizes and
control secondary and intermediate examinations in institutions
affiliated with it. Federal board conducts examination under its
Jurisdiction, and the Jurisdiction of the Federal Board includes
Islamabad Capital Territory, All over Pakistan (Cantonments and
Garrisons), Federally Administered Northern Areas, and Overseas.
FBISE announces date sheets for matric and inter exams a month before the exams commencement. It conducts matric examination in March and Inter exams in April. Announcements of matric and Intermediate results are usually made in July, August and September respectively.
FBISE is working To contribute towards the progressive achievement of national aims and objectives of education at the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels within the country and abroad through a fair, transparent and efficient examination system, with a innovative vision, under overall control of the Federal Ministry of Education and in close association with other Boards of Education.
