The Administration of the Karachi city this year implemented Section 144 in all the examination centers throughout the city to avoid any type of cheating or using illegal methods to solve papers in the examination halls. Invigilators were set in all examination centers throughout the city to manage the Matriculation Examination in a proper way; also the photocopying shops around the examination centers were closed.
Despite of all these arrangements to prevent cheating in the examination center; on the first day of Matriculation Examination not only the students were found cheating during examination but also the invigilators were helping them to cheat in a proper way.
After the first paper when students were asked by some media group about their paper and cheating they openly told what was done in the examination centers. Students told that they cheated openly using their books and notes in the examination centers during the exams; they also told that invigilators present there during the exams helped students in cheating and also they provided notes to students. Some students were getting help from outside the examination center in the forms of solved papers on the extra sheets by their fellows standing outside.
Despite all these cheating activities not even a single case is registered against any student in the examination hall, it is the responsibility of provincial Government to take notice of this thing and should control this type of rules which are harmful for our educational system.
