University of the Punjab was established in 1882. The main purpose of the establishment of this University is to promote the rate of education, affiliation of different educational institutes and the most important to conduct the exams at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Graduate level. University of the Punjab is responsible for conducting the exams and declaring the results of M.A, MSc, M.Com, B.A, BSc, and B.Com.
University of the Punjab is the Largest and oldest University in the country. University of the Punjab was ranked at number 12th by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan amongst the other Universities of Pakistan. University of the Punjab has the highly qualified teaching faculty that provides the instructions and guidance to the students related to Arts, Science and Technology. There are five main campuses of University of the Punjab in Lahore whereas two campuses in Gujranwala and Khanspur.
Punjab University offers many programs for students. University of the Punjab has itself to provide pioneering theoretical research programs that will meet the needs of students and employers in relation to the knowledge striving age of skill. University of the Punjab has also introduced new academic programs according to the modern requirements. This has gradually lingering the scope of academic activities of University. University of the Punjab (PU Lahore) is playing a sufficient role in increasing the rate of education in Pakistan.
