The admissions of PhD programmes (On MS/MPhil basis) are offered in Islamic studies (general), Islamic studies (Quran and Tasfeer), chemistry (offered in Islamabad only), Iqbal studies, Pakistani languages and literature (with specialisation in Pashto/Balochi/Brahui/Sindhi/Saraiki/Punjabi) and Urdu. The admissions of MPhil programmes are being offered in Islamic studies (general), Islamic studies (Quran and Tafseer), Arabic, chemistry (offered in Islamabad only), Iqbal studies and mass communication. The admission of MS is being offered in community health and nutrition. The eligibility for PhD admissions is MPhil 1st Division/3GPA in the relevant subject and must have passed NTS GAT (subject) test with at least 60 percent marks while MSc with 2nd division and must have passed NTS GAT (general) test with 50 percent marks is eligibility for admissions in MS and MPhil Programmes. AIOU to establish six new campuses in Northern Region

ISLAMABAD (APP): Allama Iqbal Open University will establish six new campus buildings in Northern areas for facilitating its students and up-grading its academic network.
Initially the campus-building will be constructed at Gilgit and Skardu during the coming financial year, said a news release issued here on Sunday.
Addressing the earth-breaking ceremony of Gilgit campus, Governor Gilgit Baltistan, Pir Karam Ali Shah said.
