Designed with working professionals in mind, the Katz Part-Time MBA program is nationally ranked, yet provides an excellent value. The ROI-oriented program gives students the opportunity to apply lessons learned in the classroom to their jobs the following morning. Many graduates have gone on to change careers or to attain long-sought-after promotions.
A National Reputation in Pittsburgh's Backyard
The Part-Time MBA is based upon Katz's innovative curriculum and taught by our world-renowned faculty members. The program prepares students for the latest developments in business by enhancing skills in globalism, collaboration, and innovation. The curriculum is centered on experience-based learning exercises that expose students to a variety of cutting-edge business problems. Students gain practical knowledge that enables them to build upon their existing work experience.
An MBA with Balance
By averaging six credits per term, it generally takes about three years to complete the program. Classes are held year-round, giving students the option of enrolling in fall, spring, and summer sessions. We understand that our students have demanding day jobs. Our classes shouldn't cause students to miss work, as they are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 6:20 to 9:20 p.m. and occasionally on Saturdays from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Yet, we understand that business travel occasionally takes people out of town.
All Backgrounds Welcome
Katz offers the personalized attention of a small school, but is a part of something big: the University of Pittsburgh, which is a large research institution situated in a major U.S. city. Diversity is one of our program's greatest strengths. While an abiding interest in business is their common thread, it is not uncommon to have a class composed of Certified Public Accountants, engineers, doctors, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and individuals poised to take over the family business. Our students build interdisciplinary skills by working with people from different backgrounds, and different ways of thinking.
